I have not been on this board for a long time. But within the time I have been here I have learned a great deal from all you mods and true reefers that are here go share ideas and give advise.
Remember, there still are those of us that want to learn and will take the advise of expeariance...
As for the others???? :rolleyes: Who cares.
Thank you...

Well, its nice to be appreciated, occassionally. ;)
Having BBs and the online experience is such a fantastic resource for new hobbyists, all hobbyists really. When I started out in this hobby, I was lucky to have a few books and someone at the LFS that knew a little about tanks. I basically came thru this hobby via the school of hard-knocks. Looking back, its amazing I stuck with it! :D Nowdays, not only do we have a good deal more knowledge up front, we also have the online medium to share our experiences with fellow hobbyists.

It is nice to hear a "thank you" now and then.
There are numerous experienced reefers here that willingly help out. That is what makes "our" site such a great resource....a collection of hobbiest's that are willing and able to pass along information and experience...for the benefit of all that want the help.
I've always thought the real "thank you's" should go to the active members that keep this site going...without ya'all this would simply fade away...but with the help of our membership it continues to be a thriving on-line community that can provide excellant resources for fellow hobbiest's.
You keep listening to these bunch of idiots and you'll be in DEEP trouble
While there are in fact some problem members now and then....I certainly hope you aren't refering to all of us "idiots" in general!
If by some chance you are ... could you futher explain your statement? Not because I consider myself to be a expert...but because I take offense to the comment. Especially coming from you....and in consideration of the numerous active members that I consider to be positive assets to this forum!:cool:

in light of the thread closed by NMReef I hope that comment about idiots wasnt made in any derogatory fashion....perhaps you could explain...?
Best Wishes,
Tim.

Lets not make this tread negative over one misunderstood comment...
The reason I posted this is I would imagine it gets tiresome sometimes to give good advise and have someone not listen because that was not what they wanted to hear, knowing what the effects will be. There are tons of people here (mods or not) that are very knowledgeable and I for one appresiate the help I get.
Some quotes:
The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool. {Shakespeare}
Many receive advise, only the wise profit by it. {Publilius Syrus}
It is well to learn caution by the misfortunes of others. {Publilius Syrus}
Happy is he who gains wisdom from another's mishap. {Publilius Syrus}
:D

i have been grateful for the people on this BB... i am not new to computers or gathering information online, but the members of this board are truly an exceptional bunch of people! I have only seen one post that came from an “idiot” which was quickly blasted by other reefers and set the original member post back on the right track…
I even get out of hand with some of the wild ideas i come up with, and have been blasted myself, but the difference of styles, opinions and experiences truly make this board an excellent place for researching ideas…
I would like to also thank everyone that has helped me out with my questions and sheltering me from the big bad LFS…..lol…. actually, its nice to go to a LFS and be able to tell if the people working there are full of sh** or not…
Thanks again!

I agree, there are some extraordinary people on here who are very friendly, some I talk to now off this board via email and messengers.
Its a great feeling to go into a LFS and understand what they say and maybe correct them if you so dare! :p

I heard the producer of cops say that they filmed some shows in England. One guy they captured was cussing out the cops (That's a Bobby for you Tim:p ) The cop just tunred to the guy and said "Moderate your language" A cop over here would have slammed him on the hood.

Sounded to me like golfish was joking around. Note the winking smiley next to the line...
Not a mod, never have been, wouldn't mind being one, but I like to think I've contributed to helping people at times. It's a good feeling knowing you've helped out.

I am the village idiot!!
Golfish is just mad cause he can't keep the same name for more than 1 month:D
Not that time has allowed me to contribute alot lately, but, I do like to see happy members. I too was once just a little fry in the tank. These guys here have learned me my lesson a time or two.. ie: recetly: Bag Guy told me Fox Face ate bubble algea. I never knew that and have never seen it. But!! If Bang says it, I belive it. Thats kinda my point. Over time you learn who to trust, and who is here to start trouble. (Like that dang ol' golfish)
I for one never trust anyone named after a McDonalds ham burger though;)

Now will someone look at my thread about my feather duster. LOL. All in fun but need help. :D

Well, sometimes I get upset at the people who are just here to bring me down to their level, but I always end up coming back because I know there are a few people who really want to help others learn to take care of their fish and be able to keep them(healthy) for many years.
And to those people, I say thank you.
