as people have stated:
a)its not success until you have them happy together for a year.
b)the thread title is very stand offish, and you will rub people the wrong way.
c)you have stated numerous times defensively, when not even asked "im not new at this". the funny thing is, you can do things wrong for a long time , but it doesnt make them right.
d)clowns of the same species, especially ocellaris and percula are often times found schooling in nature, so it is possible, but unlikely in an aquarium.
e) black and white ocellaris clowns and orange and white ocellaris clowns are the same species, just simply another color morph, and they are often times kept with each other. the clowns dont know the difference.

NyButterfly03 , You have been in this hobby for only 5 years and Stating against what others ,including me have experienced for many years . I have done things that are not supposed to be done with clowns and worked out great . You will have problems , a few months is nothing , you will learn the hard way I guess .
If you bought these as adults and are adults you will see problems .

ehh, gotta really think though its a passion shown for living animals. it comes across like an experiment when lots of people already have seen outcomes that didn't work out. people got upset at using animals for makeup and cosmetic research, this is the same thing sorta--it's sorta nice to see people loving animals enough to stick up for them
and, there is a track record of people coming here, saying it works for me [for a few weeks] and never come back to say well, it didn't really work. heck, look at the 5 page "debate" on ich in the disease forum...

ive heard that aquacultured clowns can be but together and they wont fight and when they grow they form this kind of ball and swimm together

Everyone has their own opinions on things so be it I am done posting here. Im sorry i ever even posted this. I am not doing an experiment if there was ever a sign that they are/were fighting, I would move them as I stated b4.
I know all abot being passionate about animals......I have a mini zoo at my house, most are abandon.....I even drove to OHIO to rescue a family of sugar gliders.
Dawman, not that I care but I refrenced my children and job as a reply to someone. And not all "post are nice" I have seen some be not so nice when giving there "opinion"

yes, you are getting a lot of negative posts in response to your thread, lemme see if I can explain why. There are a LOT of brand new hobbiests that frequent this forum, and almost all of them want to keep the different clowns (cause they are just so cute), and when they ask, many of us will advise them that they are not compatible and will fight to the death.
Your post gives a lot of new hobbiests that "exception" and people being creatures that hear what they wanna hear, will say, "NY on SWF did it, I can too!" and many clowns will die as a result.
Your post, although may be true for you, gives out irresponsible advice.
If you were visiting a novice forum and you said you accomplished this, it would be considered as the "feat" you are trying to make it. Same as keeping 2 mandarins, or 2 yellow tangs, or a flower pot coral, I could go on and on, but to tell a bunch of newbs that your keeping 4 clowns and plan to add more...well, you must consider the readers when you post that kinda stuff.
I think that's what everyone is having a hard time with.
I hope you are reading this with the very matter of fact tone I am intending. I hope your not thinking I'm flanming you, cause really, I don't care what people put in their tanks. were all gonna make mistakes and learn.
