Fastazzr1, welcome back. Glad to see your tank is still ok. Good luck with your remodel. Feel free to post more threads and pics, but let's try to keep things civil and not poke sticks in hornet nests.[/QUOTE

Just curious who stressed out the Lionfish...The triggers or the puffers (which look great btw).
i dont know how big they get. i've had it for about a month now. but my wife might like the idea of sushi
. the triggers stressed out the lion fish. and thanx for the compliments.

Well I have had mine for two years and he is the same size as when I got him. About 4" long and 4" tall

This is the best pick I found to date but still no ID. I was beginning to think it was a brackish fish....

its called a Mono Fish, or otherwise known as a Finger Fish.
they are a fish that can be kept in freshwater/brackish as juvies and then can convert into a Full saltwater fish.
also, thanks for posting the pics, the tank looks really nice.

The only survivor was my snowflake eel

hmmm, from the size of urs, it seems as if urs is pretty much full grown. it may get a little larger than that.
they are actually a schooling fish and will do very well in a group of 3-5 in a tank of that size. very fast schooling fish and will stay very active

really. but they might get together and terrorize the tank then. like some little gang.

haha possible, u never know... or... they might take each other on...mono e mono..... ok never mind.
haha no but all games aside, from what i remember they arnt too aggressive, and would go well with those tankmates. its takemates are way more agressive than the mono u have. my familys orthodontist has a tank that has 3 monos in it and they leave all of the other fish alone. u just see them in their little school moving about the tank.
BUT since you already have that one established, im not sure if u could add more and they would all get alone and school. if u want to learn and read up on them, just type in mono fish on google- it seems that most of the information on them is on tropical fish websites ( freshwater ).

The mono actually does better in fresh/brackish as juvi's, ans full saltwater as adults, I believe they get about 8", and are peaceful.
Nice tank Fast, How big is your bluejaw? They seem to be slow growers, I have had mine for a year, and it's only grown about an inch.

I stand corrected. I, along with many others, figured something bad happened because there was no more updates on the tank. This was also after 8 months of waiting on an update that most were most anticipating. Thanks for the pictures, and sorry if I came across as a jerk. That was not my original intention. I was really looking to see some pictures and I will admit that I was wrong to acuse you of misleading. Thanks again for the pictures, have a great one!
