To feed or not to feed?

I bought a red stripped cleaner shrimp about a week ago and it spends most of its time hiding in the corner under some live rock. I fed him a few times but its hard to get the food to him because of the currents from the power head.Should I be concerned about this or can these guys pick enough of the rock to sustain themselfs?I feel sorry for him, he (or she) runs around like crazy in the corner when I feed the fish, but it wont come out to get any. :(

It should be able to get plenty of food. IME, usually they will show themselves more if you have 2 of them.

Thats cool. I thought they would fight if too many were kept in one tank, that must be a different kind of shrimp.

My cleaner shrimp never hides and routinely flutters up to the top of the tank (at feeding time) to grab and clean my fingertips. hes good at cleaning under my nails. all the other cleaners that I have seen arent shy at all. give yours time and im sure hell come out.
