To Many Powerheads?

I have 2 big powerheads, one with a UV light, and 1 smaller one. I put 2 clowns in my tank yesterday and it seemed like the suction from the bigger one was sucking them closer and closer to it. I had to unplug that one because to me it seemed like the clowns were going to get stuck to it and die.

there's a sponge on the inside of the powerheads. I'm going to try to move some of my rock's to somewhat block the intake's of the powerheads so the fish can't really get caught

Yep, that's what everybody is talking about. The intake part of your powerhead. What is the size of your tank and what powerheads are you referring to?

If you have just the little cone shape intake part of the powerhead. Find a clear plastic tube that will fit over the cone part cut it long enough to hold a larger square sponge type prefilter so the wont get sucked into it. I had attached a picture of what I am talking about and hope this works for you.

I have a 36Gallon. If I can get my hands on a digital camera this would be alot easier to explain and give everyone a better picture.

yeah a pic would help, but what I meant w/ my bio ball comment was, if you put a bio ball at the intake, the suction will keep it there, and it sorta displaces the suction and covers the intake all at the same time. Unless it's some funky kinda powerhead.

I have two clowns and have two Koralia #4's and they hang out around the PH. I also have a Foxface who thinks hes a clown and will rest on the back of the PH sometimes. All three hang out around it...all three of my clowns
