900 ppm is extremely high for calcium. What do you use for additives...and how much how often? What brand of test did you use? Calcium levels that high would likely be precipitating out of the water column! Any idea what your alkalinity and magnesium levels are? very strange to see a accurate calcium level that high.

thanks for your quick replies. My other tank readings are at 0 exept nitrates(.25). as far as additives. all i use is araga milk. once a week when i add water to my sump. 1 tbls. as far as brands for test kits i used nutrafin and AP. That is why I asked. because it got me a bit worried it being that high. As far as the bioload I have 2 very large wet dry's ea capable of 500gal ea. custom ordered. everything is in great health at this time ,but i would like to get under control before anything happens. its been running with this bioload for over a year. BUt if you have any suggestions for anything please advise. your help is greatly appreciated.

A quik suggestion, since you are not having problems with your fish in that tank, pick up a different calcium test kit other than nutrafin. I have one of those and is giving me faulty readings. Try to find a kit made by salifert. Good Luck.

Very interesting... I guess people don't like the way I ask questions... I had a calcium issue last week, and asked about, and barely got a response... I also use a Nutrafin Calcium test kit and it read 900+... Maybe it is the test kit that is bad huh.....
Thanks,
Dave
