To Net or Not to Net?

I read that using nets is one of the causes of Popeye. I was curious whats your method of transfering fish?

I use a cup like thay have at lfs fish go in i pick up water and all no net

The nets for aquariums are poor quality. In fishing they have tons of different material for nets that are suposed to be better for the fishes slime and such. For small fish in my live well I use a monofilament net and below is my catch net and it's made of rubber. There is little to no slime left on the net when I take the fish out which leaves me to believe it stays on the fish.

Nets are realy stressful on fish but your limited when removing fish. A fish trap works about the best.

I just use a viewer - like the ones most LFS use to catch fish in. Then, I drain it down very slowly so there is basically no water in the container and I slide the fish into the tank.
