To poly, or not to poly...

THAT is the question..
Tell me what you guys think. Have no plans for sump or fuge.

my stand I painted black. your talking about the stuff that is almost like fiberglass resin right. yea I would poly at least the bottom If i had some and was not painting my stand

did you do anything to the inside of yours?? Yea, I'm using polycrylic.

I painted the bottom with heavy coats of paint

no signs of wear or deterioration? Do you have any sumps or fuges in it?

I have a big sump in it it was a used stand that allready had been painted and is still like new a good paint will do the same to protect the wood just put a thick coat on the bottom so if you get any spilladge you can wipe it up. I was up and down about putting rubber mat and decided against it because water could trap under it.

I have one stand which is stained inside and the other which is nothing inside. No problems with either and no difference in either's condition.
