COULD YOU ELAVORATE SOME MORE ON THE TRATE FARM COMMENTS WHEN USING WET&DRY FILTERS... IM DEBATING ON A HOME MADE WET DRY OR A FLUIDIZIDED FILTER...(IM NEW TO SALT WATER) SO FAR I HAVE A 55G, 2 PENGUINS 330 (ONE WITH BIOWHEEL)..1 PICASO TRIGER 1 PANTHER GROUPER AND ONE DAMSEL..IM PLANING ON BUILD A SMALL WET/DRY ...OR SHOULD I AD SKIMMER?

I just read that we are able to make our own protein skimmers can you tell me where to get the info to make one? Also been reading your messages and you say to clean a wet dry filter so you don't have a trate farm. I am just cycling a 135 gal FO with a wet/dry but I just changed from ciclids for three years and never cleaned the wet/dry. I was told by the store I got the tank from never to clean the wet/dry. Help I am at the point of adding my good fish next week. I have 9 damsels left out of 12 and am in my 8th week of cycling. I have been adding cycle to the tank each week to insure bacteria does this help???
