Frogfish?
If they are the same size from my understanding they should do fine....
Most everything I've read about them says they will definitely eat anything smaller than them and most likely be picked on by anything larger with an aggressive personality so they should only be kept in a "species only" tank..
I want to put a small one like a Warty Frogfish in with my Fuzzy Dwarf Lion but it's probably not going to happen.
how big is your tank? I have a leopard toadfish and he's actually an active fish so a resonable amount of room would be needed, also some toadfish can get fairly large.
depending on the size of the fish and the tank you should be able to house 2 together provided you have enough room in the tank.
I have plenty of room, I have had them, the two toads together for 2 days now, and they are fine, they both have their favorite caves, and they don't bother with eachother. Thanks for the replys.
As long as you account for adult length (which could be anywhere up to 18" long, depending ont he species) and territorial issues, there may not be any problem.
sounds good to me, what kind are they? Mine was a wild one that was given to me by a friend that caught it in a net. A lfs has a couple of them for about $35 but they are a diferent species of toadfish. Still saved a little money!
I know I'll probably get ridiculed for placing a wild fish into my tank but on the bright side he now has cleaner water and is guaranteed a meal at feeding time and no real threats from predators.
ive had a orange toadfish for about a year.hes more then tripled in size in that time.very cool fish just hangs out in his cave all day.will eat anything .probably around 8-9 inches now and very fat.
