If you mean the orange kind that I have been posting about, then just be carefull, I have had mine for over 3 years, and just recently he decided to rearange his cave, and move some rocks, and he killed himself by getting crushed. And I also had another one, that a friend gave to me, after the first one died, the other one did the same thing. They will move rocks, so make sure they are secure so they don't get crushed.

yes. mine is the orange one. he is about 4" long and definitely likes to burrow in the sand under the rocks. what should i try to feed him? i think he is sick of silversides and it's hard to get krill down to him without my niger trigger snagging it first. the niger is relentless.

It is just my opinion, but I think the do better in tanks where they are the centerpiece and don't have the competition of other aggressive fish. That may just be me however.

I had mine in with triggers, lion, puffer, all kinds of fish, they never bothered him. And he swim around, and sit onthe top of the rocks, but most of the time, he was in one of his many caves under the rock. At feeding time, he always came out, and he would swim to the top to get food, and he would also eat anything that went in his caves. Mine ate all kinda of silversides, and when I got the tank live feeders, he would sit very still and when one came near his cave, he was so fast they never knew what go them. I can't stress enough about the rock falling on them, I just lost 2 that way.
