toadstool mushroom acting wierd

my toadstool mushroom leather is acting strangely. it was closed up for 5 days then it started to open again. after a day or 2 it never really opened up all the way and now its closed back up. i no leathers do some strange things but is this normal. water quality is good and i havent seen anything eating it day or night. any suggestions or info?

I only see mine get like that at night. Usually looks like this all day.

They do go thru some changes...mine sometimes will close up for a few days at a time. What are your conditions like? Lighting?Current? Post recent calcium/alkalinity/PH levels. Any recent temp swings....recent water change...lots of factors can disturb them...but normally they will recover with a few days unless they are seriously stressed.

i lowered the temp about 2 degrees 2 weeks ago. evrything else is good. lighting is good enough, current is good. maybe it is stressed.

Mine does that about 1-2 time a week for as long as a day. I think its from my lawnmower landing on it and my clown rubbing on it. Sometimes is glosses up and sheds.

I agree!! Could be growing!! That is the tendency that they possess!
