Toadstool questions

I spotted one of my small blue hermits on top of my toadstool this afternoon, so I gently brushed it off onto the sand. Within a few minutes, it was right back there. Did it 2 more times, and it went right back onto it. The crab doesn't seem to really be doing anything and I don't see any signs that it has been eating the toadstool. Is this anything to be concerened about? The toadstool has it's polyps retracted right now which it does regularly. That brings me to another question, how often does this happen to your toadstool? I have had this one for a couple of months and haven't seen it shed so far and it seems healthy.
Thanks!

My toadstools polyps will retract once a day. It recently went through what looked like shedding and it had a couple hermits on it eating away. The shedding phase looks like its past and the hermits are no longer on it and my toadstool is looking better than the day I got it. So far ive had it for 2 months and I will notice a hermit crab on it every now and then, doesnt seem to bother it.

I wouldn't worry about the hermits. My toadstool will stay closed for up to a day or so at a time, but the next day, it will be just fine.

Thanks for the replies guys. Maybe it is getting ready to shed and the hermit knows something I don't. It does retract about once a day, seems kinda regular.
