In chemistry we learn that when something burns it changes the chemical composition (oxidation).
Burnt toast is no longer toast.

Yuk, toss it and start over wondering where to put that stupid knob on the toaster to get it right!

And by the way why does the setting seem like it constantly needs to be changed to get good toast??????

I was trying so hard not to hit the 'i <3 ruaround' option, I missed the don't like toast. Just toast, as in a piece of bread and just jelly or butter, no thanks. I like my sandwiches (tuna, cold cut) bread with just the lightest gold on it.

I just scrape off the burnt part because the rest tastes fine. Unless of course it is black on the crust too..........then it's history.

So something like this isn't enough?

Yeah, I throw it back in, take a shower, got to work, get home, take a nap, and then pop it back out and enjoy every bite.
Seriously how in the world can someone overcook toast that bad? I mean for the love of god, there is a machine that does nothing but cook toast, how can someone mess up that bad?
