Today is the day! Any advice?

Well today is the day we take our fish out of qt and they go to the main display tank. Any suggestions as to the transfer to make it as less stressfull as possible?

I have read leaving the lights off makes it less stressfull for them.

dont use a net, it takes the slime coating off the fish. try using a plastic container of some type to move them.

leave the lights off during and for about 2 hours after released. This gives them time to find hinding spots as they access their new surroundings without blinding lights in their face.
