and about the fathers...they are just as stupid as the girls here...i dont think that anyone thought about the long term...
Did the fathers know is my question... or were they doing their thing thinking there were protected... and perhaps they got set up with "poked holes" or something?

interesting questions...i really hope that they wernt tricked into this...but there is one thing that you still have to remember when you are doing the deed...no matter how much protection you have...there is still the possability of fertility...

true.. but wouldn't that be horrible!!! I'd have a problem if I was in that situation... were I got trapped.. it would have an effect on the whole father-parent relationship... as well as my plans on college and that sort of thing.

It appears these girls came from a wealthier suburban area... this is not some inner city school thing or area with low income people... these students have not even been exposed to social programs... your whole hypothesis is wrong.

From the article it appears to be a public school. Public schools are run by the libs in the NEA, etc. Hypothesis still valid and correct.
My next question, how to blame Bush?

one of the fathers is a 24 year old homeless man...... if all the fathers were high school boys, then yea, it's idiocy on both parts. but, to go sleep with a homeless guy... somethings wrong there...

Good question. I'd hope the 24 year old was "tricked". If not he's in a bit of a jam.

Then why not wait to you have your education behind you? Then no worries,no shattered dreams and broken families.

Tell me this is not womb to the tomb "i know what's better for you than you do mentaility:
"Nurse practitioner Kim Daly administered 150 pregnancy tests to students by May, prompting her and the clinic's medical director, Dr. Brian Orr, to lobby for the prescription of contraceptives regardless of parental consent."
Sounds like Obama(s)care to me!

Are you guys cereal right now? Parents? I bet if you interviewed these girls and asked them when was the last time they spoke to their parents, you'd be shocked. I mean just a typical, 'Hi, how's your day?' type thing, let alone a discuss between them of any serious topics....

exactly... I don't know what Obama or the pill have to do with this conversation... this is something they wanted to do and is more of an issue with their parents, self esteem, and peers. They probably thought it would be cool and easy and they could all grow up together.... everything is not political... I also would be interested in knowing about the fathers... their knowledge and willingness to be a part of this... of course they put themselves at risk... but I'd be P##$#D if I was part of some pregnancy conspiracy.
alot of the kids at school knew about it...and they said that some of these guys are as old as 24??!! a 24 year old screwin a teenager has no right to be angry if she gets pregnant - he knows better and belongs in prison - shes a stupid kid that made a reaaaallly big mistake and will pay for it the rest of her life and she will realize that as soon as her water breaks

why do kids by drugs, alcohol, and have ---? It has nothing to do w/ education, wealth, political background, etc... Do you think they think about "shattered dreams" - come on It has nothing to do with that...

It sounds like kids are doing it regardless... and that abstenence is the ideal way, but not realistic for everyone... so since they are doing it... most likely afraid of asking or discussing this w/ their parents.. she wants to make it available to reduce the 150 patients she's seen to give them access .. its a realistic approach to a problem... I would guarantee the # would be lower if this law existed... only problem with it is the pill doesn't protect from STD's...so education is equally as important.

agree, not only that but a lot of parents are in denial, my kids dont do that! or you better not think about it or do it again! and think that will work, it doesnt, if they are going to do it and they think they are old enough which they are and they do think that then by all means help them be safe! we had this little arguement a little while back se.x education at a younger age would help too. i know some parents wouldnt agree to it but just because they're in denial doesnt mean its not happening, some are even in denial after the kids say "hey im getting laid" and claim ---- on their childrens behalf and boom someone is now labeled se.x offender that thought it was consentual. it happens everyday!

It all comes down to the way the Kids are being raised. I'm sorry but if you are going to pamper your kid and let them get away with stuff this is what you get. And I say deal with it. You raised your kids and basiclly told them that you are going to let them get away with all this junk and you will take the responsibility. Tough I have no hard feelings.
Also if the law makers would allow corporal punishment, instead of considering Child abuse There would be a lot less of these retards running loose on the street.
It all comes down to Stop Spoiling your kids.

disagree with the first and last, i went to school with some girls that ended up pregnant and they werent pampered or spoiled, some were "trailer trash" that practically raised herself and siblings, and another was from the "ghetto" that didnt have a dad and mom worked 3+ jobs and was never home, hardly spoiled. however the "spoiled" kids, myself being one (gotta love a trust fund) there werent any that were knocked up in high school.
corporal punishment however all for it! you cant just put you kid in time out....little timmy mommy doesnt want you to do that, followed by a smart remark or mocking face. vs spank their @$$ and they wont do it again, they will remember what happens if they do.
