The tank I have came with a tomato clown and he acts nuerotic. If i get him an anemone will that help? If so what is the best kind for a tomato?

I'm not really sure how to explain it. He is constanly moving sand from one side of the tank and back. He also goes after me anytime my hand goes into the tank. I was just told that if they have an anemone that they will just chill with it most of the time. Is that true?

No, that is not necessarily true. They will aggressively defend the anemone and the surrounding area. If you just got him then he has no idea what just happened. I am sure everything looks a lot different in there to him now. Give him time to settle in.

My large maroon is well over a year old and all it does is bite me and make little mountains of sand and it has two anemones. It is just how they are.

Sounds like he is acting pretty normal for a tomato. If I do get an anemone for him,is there some better than others?

anemones are not for noobs. i'm not saying you are one, but if you think you might be then don't get one as it will die.
You need strong lighting and perfect water to keep them happy.
unless your clown starts gasping for air at the surface, or stops eating or attacks other fish then i would not be concerned. it sounds like he wants to redecorate his home and does not like a home invader sticking his hand in the tank.
