tomato clown

i ahd a tomato clown for about a 3 weeks . then yesterday i bought a 2 tomato clown. it was about 1/2 the size of the other one mabe a lil bigger. the big one is beating it up pritty bad. now the new clown is sitting in the top back corner of my tang.is it hiding from the other one?? what shud i do??

c mon this clown is sitting back there looking like its about to die or something. i closed the lights mabe it would be better

some fish do better when you rearrange the rocks it makes new hiding places so they dont fight so bad over territory

Good one sweetdawn, but I doubt that was the answer shista was looking for. Some fish fight at the beginning because they are guarding their territories and it might stop but if it doesnt, you will need to do something to save him. maybe qt him or take him back to your lfs if they allow it.

i moved the rocks and i had the lights off all day yesterday! now i have them on and the smaller clown is still hiding on the top back of my tank. i fed him and he ate a lil but the other clown came and started to bite his fins again so he can get his food!!!! what shud i do!!

sorry to tell you but if you plan to keep more than 1 clown in the same tank, its best to add them at the same time. otherwise fighting/picking will ensue, which is the situation that you are in

Mature Tomato Clowns usually do not tolerate other clowns. Often, they are best kept as a mated pair or alone. Tomato Clowns are reef safe.
This I took off another site. Like I said earlier...Always do research BEFORE buying.
It looks like you have no choice but to return or give the little guy away.
