Tomini and Kole tang?

I currently have a 4 foot long 60 gallon reef with a kole tang a royal gramma, 2 clowns, four line wrasse, and a one spot fox face, im planning on some other fish but they will be small and contribute little to nothing to the bio load. I was wondering if the two tangs would get along, after doing some research some ppl say yes and some say no.

It all depends on your current tangs personality and how you go about adding the new one but I'd say it can be done.

Just because it's shy doesn't mean it's not territorial but if you can try get a tomini that's bigger than your kole

Im sure you have been asked this a millions times, what are some moderately priced test kits, and if i am going to buy them individually instead of a saltwater master test kit what do you recommend testing?

I like Salifert because you can usually perform a lot of tests with each kit, but they are not refillable. I also like Red Sea kits, because you can perform a lot of tests, and they ARE refillable. They both work great, so I can't refer one over the other. They're not API cheap, but they're high quality test kits. Water parameters are your #1 priority, so you don't want something that measures "somewhere in the ball park". That said... API is okay for checking the cycle of a brand new tank. Other than that, hmm...

If your main tank has been up for 6 months (or more) and there are no big changes to the bioload, it should be stabile enough to only have to check for Nitrate. If you have serious algae problems, you might want to check Phosphate levels as well. If you have fish only, and maybe a few soft corals, these two should be sufficient as long as you do your regular water changes. If you have hard corals, you'll also want to check Calcium, Alkalinity, and Magnesium.

Well so far he has been in qt for 9 days, and is eating nori daily and brine shrimp I'll try feeding him misis today. How long would you recommend leaving him in qt. He is showing no signs of disease or stress at the moment.
