I am actually refusing to put copper in the tank. I have already FW dipped him and it did help but as I have researched Copper kills the parasites AND hurts the fish
trying to do it the all natural way!

I have yet to treat anything with toxic chemicals. Use hyposalinity. Copper does have a use. Sometimes ich can live through hyposalinity. Bring the SG down in 48 hours. Pull larger amounts of water out and dribble the fresh in.

So today I have checked the tang and the ick has gotten the worst it has been. More spots all over his body yet I have kept the SG down to exactly .009
I will be giving him ANOTHER freshwater dip but if that doesnt work?
Maybe try the copper treatments?

How long has the SG been at 1.009?

Are you using a refractometer? Do you check the SG twice a day?
If the answer to these are yes then bring the SG up over 5 days and start cupramine.

An update!
It has been a while since I have posted on this specific thread because I have transitioned to a larger tank, and also stopped the hypo and not addministered cupramine to help treat my sick Tomini Tang.
I have been treating my tang with copper for almost 2 weeks now, and still NOTHING! He is STILL eating healthy and swimming all over the place. I place a few more PVC connections in the QT that he likes even more.
-I have keep the Paramators perfect.
-The SG has stayed at 1.023.
- And have keep copper at .05 consistantly
- I do water changes every 4 days to keep the params perfect
any help with this guys? I am pretty stuck on trying to fix this problem. I have had this tang for about 2 months now and he hasnt left my QT the whole time!

Cupramine should test at .5, not .05...

I had to use a small powershot switch isnt the best to take pictures of fish with but I hope this works!
After doing some more research I am starting to think it is Lymphocyctis. I was originally told it was Ich but it is growing above the skin and hasn't touched the fins, only stayed on the body!
Please help! thanks!

yeah dude thats not ich, not sure what it is but know its not ich. trying a antibiotic probably couldnt hurt now. is he still eating and acting normally? i would leave him be. i have a feeling its parasitic but not ich.
had a maroon clown once who had a similar problem and it was some type of worm. at one point the were growing out of his head made him look like medusa. try an antibiotic is my suggestion or better yet return him and get your money back!

Before you take him back try some Maracyn-Two that might work, btw if he is eating and swimming fine I would not worry so much.
