Before you take him back try some Maracyn-Two that might work, btw if he is eating and swimming fine I would not worry so much.

he has been in the QT for over 2 months tho and it hasnt gotten any better... So dont worry means... Put him in the DT or dont worry it will eventually go away? He has never not been swimming fine or eating great.
I would like to free up my QT so I might be able to purchase another fish and QT him!

That doesn't look like ick to me. Are those the spots you mentioned, those large ones above the back?
Yes the spots are above the back. They almost look like pimples. They are very raised and run in a line.

Try some Maracyn-Two for a week then if things don't get better then return him to the store.

Does anyone think that it might be Lateral Line Disease?
HLLE? Nope, at least I don't. I had 2 Tangs with it and they looked nothing like that. He looks very fat and healthy otherwise.

i would treat for 2 weeks and if you dont see any progress take him back. i would not put him in the DT. as for HILE i do see a line but those bumps dont fit that disease's symptoms. HILE is usually caused by a low electrical current. it could be but i doubt it.

I was looking into HILE and from what my tang looks like, it isnt that. He never stops swimming and eats everything i put in his QT.
I have tore down the QT and cleaned it with vinegar to get rid of the copper. Waited 2 days and placed new water and acclimated him back to the QT.
He still seems to be doing fine. I am using antibiotic meds to help him.
I will keep you guys updated!
thanks again!

How long has he been in QT and the symptoms have not changed? Give me a number.

He has been in the QT for around 2 months now. The symptoms started to show around 3 weeks after he was in QT when I was about to start transferring over to DT.
I was told by this board to treat for ick through hypo, then switched to copper.
I have currently cleaned out the QT completely and treating with antibiotics.
So I am not running a total of at LEAST 5 weeks being in QT with the disease (if that is what it is)
