Too many anemones.

I started out with one long tentacle and they keep splitting. Now I have 10. How do I control them and get rid of some. They are on live rocks and I can't pry them off.....

What kind of anemone is it?
Going to move your topic to our REEF Forum.

Hi! From your picture I see bubble tip anemones, not long tips. Bubble tips split very easily and some never split. In my experience, if you have a specimen that splits easily, it will keep continuing to do so and so will the new anemones. To get them off the rock without harming the foot you can blast them with flow. I've even when as far as using a turkey baster and continuously squirting water at the base of the foot until it gets aggravated enough to move.
It also looks like you have some majano anemones. But I do see that you have a few bubble tips in the pic as well.

Thank you for answering my post. They could be bubble tips but they stretch long without the bubble on the end. The fish store did not know what it was when I bought it a few years ago; by bad..... I will try the flow and turkey baster idea. I gave some away a few months ago but they keep splitting. Unfortunately I had to give up rock with them.

See if your fish store will buy them from you (with the rock). Then buy some rock to replace what you lost.
If you hang the Anemone upside down on the rock over the water it will eventually drop off. Might take a few hours up to a day but it will drop.
