Too Many Guppies

Well, I have a freshwater tank full of livebearing fish (guppies, swordtails, mollies, and platties), and my guppies have sort of taken over the tank, do you think I could feed some of the baby (1/2 cm long) guppies to my watchman goby (2 inches long)?

Get an Oscar about 4 inches long Problem solved aka all the guppies will be FOOD and you will not have to worry about to much FW feeders for SW fish.

I like my freshwater tank, I just need to slow the guppies down a litle bit so the mollies, swordtails, and platties could catch up to them. I'm just askin if its bad for a saltwater fish to eat a freshwater one
.

Well it's not bad for sw fish but it has no nutritional value for sw fish either.

Mmmk, but its ok for him to have one tiny guppy like once a month right?
IMO I wouldn't recommend feeding any guppies at all to your SWF. Who knows what it could possibly carry to your probably more prized tank? From what I have read they do not have any nutritional value.

I found this which was written/posted by Lion_Crazz. Not sure if it applies to guppies as well, hope it helps:
47. NEVER FEED A FISH FRESHWATER FEEDER FISH. Freshwater feeder fish cause saltwater fish to get fatty liver disease, a disease where the saltwater fish’s live gets so large that it can no longer process any food. Usually, goldfish, rosy reds, or guppies are used to feed lionfish, groupers, triggers, wrasses, puffers and other aggressive fish. This is not a good practice but one that will eventually lead to the death of your fish.

Consider it like the most unhealthy fast food out there. Once in while won't kill you, but 4 meals a day probably will

LedZep, I feel your pain. I threw some extra feeder guppies in my FW tank and the females have about 20 babies apiece every month or so.
