Too many too soon? Help

Just added the other night some new livestock. I'm not pleased with how the ammonia and nitrites have gone up. Unsafe levels.
I added some ammonia lock and nitrite remover to combat the problem. Should I let that do it's thing and leave the tank alone or do water changes right now!?
75 gallon tank. Setup for about 3 months.

what do you have in there? I would do a large water change. What caused the levels to spike?

I did the $79 or above deal with the website. Added only two fish and than some crabs, anemones, one starfish, etc. I did buy about 11lbs of cured liverock last night and put that in.
Should I do some water changes now than or just let it do it's thing? I want to do whats best for the fish.

your live rock that you bought might not have been cured enough and made your system spike. i would do a water change and see how that goes.

I would take the LR out and cure it in a tub or something. Leaving it out of water from the store to your tank will cause some die off. I

definetlty start with water changes.if levels still unsafe do a large waterchange.

Although the rock was cured when it shipped, you will have die off and the rock will need to be re-cured. Not a problem when beginning a cycle but when you added it your bioload jumped too high for your tank to manage it. Do water changes and if that doesn't seem to work get the fish out of there until your levels are back a zero.
Also, you may have problems with the anenome in a new tank. Generally they require an established system.

back to the topic though.
do some waterchanges, how many pounds of LR do you have in your tank? adding two fish to a properly cycled 75g shouldnt blow your ammonia way up, not counting the 11pounds of new stuff.

Bad deal.
Lost the new starfish (serpent) and the new Longnose Butterfly. The fish died last night and I don't know when the starfish died but I found it tonight. The liverock I purchased was cured and went from the fish store to my tank in under 30 min so I don't think much die off could have occurred. I have about 100 lbs or better of live rock in the tank now.
Checked tonight and my levels are spiked. Moved the fish I could catch to the quarantine tank.
What I think is going on is I got 10 little hermit crabs and I'm guessing they died and are causing the problem. Last time I got snails they died too and did the same thing.
I can't keep my ph above 8.0. Most times is 7.8
Is that what is killing these little guys?

I am still new to this, but from what I have read on the forums and in books is that even if you buy cured live rock, there will be some die off when putting it in your tank, possibly causing a spike in levels. I could be wrong though, just some friendly advice. Good luck

How long has this system been set up and what are your current water readings for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, ph, kh, sg, and temp? How did you acclimate these fish?
