I read an old article stating that too much carbon can cause lateral line disease in fish. I have not found any other evidence to back this one article up. Has anyone heard of any problems with too much carbon?
Thanks!!
All I know is what the manufacturers say and that it will adsorb hevy metals and organic nutrients, neither of which can do any harm.
I think it may have other effects on the water though.
Well, I've never heard anything bad about using carbon, but if anyone has any experience regarding it causing HLLE, I'd like to hear about it, as both my tanks have it and nothing I do seems to help it [and I use carbon].
