Too Much FLOW?????

Can gsp have too much flow??? I am rearranging some PH's, and it is flowing pretty good....so I want to make sure I don;t kill it....LOL
 
I got a new Koralia Evolution 1400....I put it where I had a 750....put the 750 where I had a K3...and the K3 where I had a k1....(all on the left on the 225G)
 
They are all positioned at different angles.....but I need to know if I should turn them a little more from the gsp

You know whena coral isn't happy...they close up. If the GSP has a wiggle in the current and is open..don't worry about it.

I have seen them just getting blown sideways. In that tank that is where they did the best. I suppose every colony is different though. I say try it. If they get mad just move the flow.
 
Mine are in kinda a medium flow. They sway back and forth with the occasional down hit of flow.

Yeah....I wouldn't call it heavy....LOL....I'll watch them and see how they do....I'm trying to get flow to some front areas that I am having a sand issue with.....BUT I don't want to blow anything outta the water

I have GSP frags in a few spots throughout my 155, the flow is different. The one that is in HIGH flow, and I mean REALLY HIGH flow took longer to open up but now actually grows faster than the ones in lower flow..
They're one of those corals that can handle just about anything.

You may or may not be interested but, you could save a couple of watts and get rid of a couple of the PH's by using the maxi jet 1200's with the mod??? They will turn over like 1600-2100GPH each.

The reason I have so many is cause they have to go over, under, and around all my rock

A little cheaper then the Koralia too.....Maybe if I decide to buy another one I'll try it.....Do you have them??

No, I don't think my little tank could handle the flow. I've always wanted to try one though. If you check out Limpits reef . com he has a short video of the mod and how it works in the tank. You will see what they do.

Unless I'm mistaken, the first link comes with everything. Even the Mj900 pump. If you have the 1200 you will get to mod either or cause you should get both impellers. The black and the white impeller. The link shows the suction cups but it lists a magnet??

HOLY CRAP...it's as expensive as the actual powerhead......I was thinking I could use it for the maxi I already have...
