I am a huge Steeler fan - we bleed black in gold in this city and that man that almost had a heartattack when Bettis fumbled the ball - I think that described half the city. I was watching the game in a large sports bar with a ton of people and all you heard was a deep intake of breath (followed immediatly by a ton of swearing!)
so I will end with a little prayer
Our father
Who art in Pittsburgh
Football be thy Game
Thy Kingdome come
4 Super Bowls won
On earth as it is in Heinz Field
Give us this day a playoff victory
And forgive us our penalties
As we defeat those who play against us
But lead us into a victory, and deliver us to
Detroit.
Amen!

The correct call on that play and subsequent plays if needed would have been three consecutive QB sneaks. THe second mistake was that bettis should have had two arms covering the ball instead of tucking the ball under one.
Coaching almost cost you that game along with a big verteran mistake.
That being said...you'll need plenty prayers on Sunday.... the Lord giveth....and the Lord taketh away....Denver 24 Pitt 21.

Oh come on - Every team has equal chance to win - Nothing is locked up and guarenteed
Steelers could just as easily win

Since we started the football threads and predictions I am 7-2 including the national championship calling Texas the winner in advance.
Plummer is just as accurate throwing on the run as he is in the pocket. This will tend to neutralize the blitz as once a QB breaks containment or rolls out on a blitz the DB's must cover for an extended period...in some cases one on one...advantage to Denver. He is a different QB than Manning who must stay in the pocket to be effective.
Equalizers could be weather or Plummer mistakes which he has been prone to do in the past.
Do all teams have an equal chance...the oddsmakers say no....last I checked Denver was +3.5. I like Denver but do not think they will cover the spread.
It will be close with Jason Elam being the difference.
It is very difficult to come from a #6 seed and run the table.
Ptt has all the intangibles working against them too...plus Denver IMO...has moreoverall talent.
The only difference makers to swing the game in Pitt's favor would be TO's, weather and/or coaching/gameplan.
Pitt could win....that's why they play the games.

IMO - its not going to be the QB on either team that decides the game... the running game, specail teams, and ofcourse defense... weather might be a factor plus the air is thinner in denver... I'm taking the team who's QB doesnt look like Jesus or Eddy Vedder...
Pitt 27 - Denver - 13

Well I was close on the score, atleast I got the winner correct... but ultimately it was the Pitt D and special teams that won that game... Congrats to the Steelers... and now I will say Pathers 24 - Seahawks 21
