Too much Macro-algae in refugium?

Hey guys,
I was wondering if I had too much macro-algae in my fuge. I have went to strictly SW LFS before and have noticed their fuge's don't have nearly as much macro-algae as mine does.
30 gallon aquarium used for fuge -

looks like it could use a trim~!!!

ha, looks like my old fuge. I never paid attention to it and it got overgrown. Got so thick I dont know how water flowed thru it. Had tons of life liveing in it though.
Once theres not much room or the top shades the bottom to were it starts to go then trim about half out. Looks like it could use a trim to me also.
