Is this too much? 1 Yellow Tang, 1 Blue Line Trigger, 1 Humu Humu Trigger, 1 Black volitan Lion, 1 Snowflake eel and possibly a tusk . In a 135 gallon with Live rock. Also is a 20 gallon large enough for a small octopus or seahorses? Thanks for everyones help.

As far as I'm concerned, that is way too many fish for a 135 gallon tank. Think about it, a whole bunch of big mean fish together and getting crowded isn'y going to work. So I'll break this down for you.
#1- If you're going to have an aggressive tank, don't waste your time on tangs. They need much different things than aggressive fish do. They are mainly herbivorous and need perfect water. Those aggressive fish can foul up water quickly, so don't waste your time on the tand because it will get a disease and die and possibly pass the disease on to the other fish.
#2- Pick one of those triggers and keep it. The other one you should just leave out. Stick with 1 trigger, the Volitan, the Eel and the Tusk. Then you have a variety of fish and reduced aggression. It's the best way to go on that one.
Now, your other question can be simply answered. Technically you should keep an Octopus in a 35 gallon or more tank. They need a completely sealed tank because those suckers can escape through the smallest holes imaginable. They are not hard to keep but you have to be careful if the ink the tank. That fouls the water and the Octopus dies. And Octopus don't live long in captivity. No more than 8 to 10 months for most. Seahorses can be kept in smaller tanks. However they need a constant supply of live food. Live brine and phytoplankton work best. They need to be fed a lot. Usually at least 3 times a day and they need a near constant food supply. And it has to be alive. Although, I have heard of Seahorses that eat frozen brine. I hope this has answeredd some of your questions.

Thanks lionfish. I always injoy your info. Why not the 2 triggers together? Will an angler work with any of those fish? I'm just trying to get an interesting and unusual mix for my 135. It's been empty long enough, just a yellow tang that's going to go back to lfs. Also read that you keep freshwater. Where did you get your archer fish and electric eel I would like to get one. I love exotic fish and the challenge. :)

Good to see someone that likes a good challenge. And glad to see someone has an interest in Archers. Well, first off, the 2 triggers will work but of course, we're talking about 2 fish that get to be nearly 10 inches after a period of time and they can do serious damage to other fish. I usually recommend that people keep one trigger per aggressive tank, or get all triggers. It seems to work the best that way. However there are excpetions like there are to all aquarium matters but seeing as you do like a good challenge, I would recommend you try an Angler. I sure would like to but I can't find any and my tanks are already full. Now, as you probably already realise, they can wolf down quite a bit of food. So if you decide to get one. Make sure it is small enough so that it won't be able to eat the fish but still big enough to defend itself. I think buying a 2 to 3 inch Angler would be alright after the rest of the fish were at least 5 inches long.
Next, I got my Archerfish and the catfish from my LFS who deals with a lot of rare freshwater fish. I recommend Archers to everybody but you have to have great water quality, perfect salinity, and a good food supply. Mine eat at least 10 pellets a day each, or they get 10 dozen guppies a week. My main mistake was not buying a cover for the very back of the tank. They spit a hole through my dry wall but they have hit flies on the wall before. They can hit people across the room too. They are one of my favorite fish of all time. The catfish has been trickier than most fish I deal with. It has been a bother to my Knife fish as the knife is releases small electric shocks to stun fish and locate fish. I believe I mentioned I had a ctafish rather than an eel, but I may be mistaken. I will go back and check the post. I have had an electric eel in the past but he climbed out of the tank. My fault. But they are neat to watch, too.

i put a tang in my 125 with clown trigger and golden puffer and tusk to keep down the hair algae, so after he ate all the hair algae i got seaweed selects, which before he knew it were all eaten by the puffer and trigger, he came down with the red bacteria infection which went away but he does get picked on even tho he is 6 inches! i wouldnt do it , no angels/ tnags in a aggressive tank period plus that blue line trigger gets huge and is one of the meanest trigger in general, if i had a 135 and wanted to go exotic, i would get a tusk (aussie) golden puffer and a exotic small eel.
