I really don't want to be up this early, but I have to go and trade the Tang in. I am getting a Foxface to clear up my red bubble algae problem....then I can go back to sleep...
Later I am going to go pick up some more rock. When I rearranged it I ended up with an emptier looking tank.

And on topic, your sps will be fine, no worries there, and i would like to be able to rearrange my rock, but dont have the time and effort to put into it, however i am off for the next 2 days so maybe i will... i need a different flow pattern anyways.

The XM bulbs are actually 15k (I always screw up and say 14k). I like them a lot. I am thinking of giong with the 20k XM next time or a different brand 14k bulb. The XM 15k bulbs do not have a very high PAR rating.

I bought another 15 lbs. of rock and the tank looks pretty good now. I still need about 10 lbs. of rock to completely finish.
The Foxface I got is a wonderful fish. He has tons of personality.
Also with the Tang gone, my Lawnmower Blenny isn't afraid to come out anymore. The Tang kind of bullied him around.

When it came time to get rid of my Damsoils I faced similar problem. What worked for me was the tall fish trap where you close what is kind of a revolving door. At first they were not interested but I starved em for a day and once they got a little hungry some frozen food in the trap proved irresistable. I quickly caught both. They killer Damsoils were both donated to *****. Had that failed I was going to use method similar to ther poster but using a piece of eggcrate cut to height/width/depth of tank.

my sohal eats bubble algea like its going out of style! we had enough to say i had it and once the sohal went in the tank in 2-3 days the bubblw algea was gone. and as for your tang being mean to the lmb my purple firefish is deathly scared of my sohal tang. he might come out 2 times a week to eat then you wont see him again.

I will post some pics tomorrow of the new arrangement. It is pretty much the same layout, just moved it around to make more room for coral.

Sorry, too late on this one. However, there are two proven methods for removing tangs.
1. Time - they will die eventually
2. Spreargun
