Hi All, I have to get a new magnet. My Mag-float just does not cut it. Leaves tons of algea behind. I am thinking of getting a hammerhead or a tigershark cleaning magnet. Any thoughts? Thanks

How old is your mag float? I'm just wondering because maybe they loose strength over time. I have a mag float and it does fine. What is it leaving behind?

Hi Slick, Thanxs for the reponse. My mag is about 9 months old. It leaves behind green algea, i also find that it seperates rather easily. I ordered a hammerhead, we will see if the extra money does anything. Thanks Again

big diff in mags ime. Hammerhead is alot stronger. The only mag floats I've seen are small. unless theres a bigger one?? Dunno but good magnets don't rust either which is a plus. They are better built JME
