Hey thats a pretty sweet tank.
What size tank do you have, a 29 gal? How do you keep your sand so clean? how long has it been up and running for?

No it's a 50 gallon tank. 60lbs of rock. I just use my finger and stir it every day. The tank is only 7 months old. I am still learning new stuff all the time.

I think i need to start stiring my sand. But thats cool for a 50 gallon tank, the clams are neat too!

i think you will need to move the hippo tang and maybe the yellow tang over time
but the tank looks perfect

The fish below the clown is a yellow damsel. Yes the lights are haildes and actinic PC combo. The light setup was like 400 bucks total. As far as the Toadstool goes, I have no clue what is wrong with that thing??? It comes out for like 20 mins, goes back in, comes out, goes back in.... Since day 1 it has done that. It is still alive and well just doesn't poke out much. I do have a Nitrate problem that I am correcting but everything else seems like it is doing well besides that Alveopora. I think the Nitrates are effecting that though. Nitrates were as high as 50 last week. Now at 20. I just got rid of some crushed coral that was mixed into the live sand. I think that was causeing the trate problem. That and I was overdosing phyto. I sifted the CC out and now I have just the sand. That may also be why it looks so nice because it was freshly stirred up. I heard Leathers are pretty hardy. Would nitrate probs cause them to act this way??? Thanks to everyone who has commented. I like the feedback. -Ryan-
PS. By the time the Tangs outgrow the tank, I will have outgrown it too!

Nice job. my toadstool retracts easily. If something like a crab or my hand goes near it, it closes up, otherwise its doing fine.
