Torch Coral

My Green Torch when open, extends its polyps about 1" to 1 1/2". There are two that extend twice that and a third that's about 4".
Is there something wrong with it?
TIA,

Thanks Kip. I wasn't worried at first but its been this way for about 8-days... So I figured I would ask.

you might want to check your calcium level if they are staying out that long (8 days) or feed them for they must be hungry usaully mine come out ever couple days like that and after feeding they retract for couple days

Thanks for the tips dddpd. I keep the calcium around 420-440 and feed DTs every other day...

Never thought of that. Maybe I'll relocate him and see what happens. Here is a different angle.

DVS is right . I think it just wants to reach out and touch someone. "reach out and torch someone :) "

A torch coral can extend sweeper tentcales 6" and futher in an attempt to protect its area. They can be one of the more aggressive euphyllia corals. Mine has frequent battles with its green bubble neighbor. They can inflict some serious damage and I'd keep a close eye on them...re-locate if needed. I have a bubble/torch/hammer fairly close together and they constantly have little spats but none have suffered serious damage.

Thanks guys... I'll move him away a little more. The current is such that they would probably never touch but ya never know.
