Tornados in Canada

Well in Ontario tornados are pretty much not herd of often, not like in the States. Yesterday we had some major weather come through. I listened to the news after work they said tornado watch for our area, 8:30 at night checked the Weather Channels same thing only tornado watch. Went to bed at about 9:30 the storms came through - some real good ones. My son was at horse camp sleeping over not 5 minutes from my place. Next day I hear on the morning news on my way to work that at 9:30 they chaged to tornado warning, all my neighbors and at the horse camp everyone was sleeping in the basement. I could not believe it - slept through second story of the house not worrying about a thing. They also reported tornados did touch down close to where I live. About 2 hours from where I live they had an F3 last saturday, I know it can't compare to what some of the bad areas go through in the States but this is a big thing for us snow lovers. Just thought I would share.

Down here - tornado watch = "keep one eye to the sky"... Tornado warning = keep both eyes to the sky......When the sirens go off - grab the loved ones and hit the tub or get underground ! ! !
Glad yall are OK up there - please send us down some colder air, and I'll put in a request to keep the twisters down here.

Last time honestly we had a tornado warning was when I was five and we just moved out to the farm and I did see the tornado then.

Newfoundland, Canada got hit with a hurricane last year or the year before. That's unheard of. Some of the aftermaths makes it's way up there, but the water is so cold, it usually doesn't mount to much. This was a full hurricane that destroyed a lot of homes. And our houses are built to last!
Crazy weather.
