Total tank Wipeout

Well i had a total tank wipeout form ich. My question is if i leave my main tank fishless for a month or so will the ich be gone without a host or does it have to be longer.I also have LR in my tank to do i want to treat the tank with any chemicals to help the process.

Leave the tank fishless for at least a month. No chemicals or treatments.
