Tough Algae Problem

Recently some really tough algae has been growing on the glass and back of my aquarium. It's not like any algae I'm used to though since it's really tough to scrape off and none of my snails will eat it. Can someone identify this type of algae for me and tell me how I could get rid of it?

Its coraline algae starting it will turn purple soon if you leave it.

You can leave it (coraline) or use a razor blade to scrape it off if it is a glass aquarium. I attach a straight edge razor to a wooden doll and scrape all of my tanks that way.

Hmm... so it's just coraline? Some of its been there for awhile and it hasn't turned purple at all.

Maybe you dont have enough supliment in the water make it purple but thats what it is my whole back of my tanks is like that but mine is purple.
