TOUGH anemone ID needed (pics)

Hi folks... I have a question!!
I have recently purchased a "mini (carpet?) anemone" - ID not guaranteed tho ha ha.... the guy wasn't sure of it himself but.... I like suprises. I have it in a tupperware covered in bridal veil to prevent escapes (in a pretty good flow path) while I figure out what to do with the beastie. Ultimately it will end up in my 120, I just didn't want him escaping into the rocks of the 65g. The tupperware is the reason for the terrible pic quality.
He's about the size of a twoonie (for you Americans that's maybe and inch and some across)
VERY sticky to the touch
pink coloured verrucae on a tan foot
likes brine shrimp
I'm no sure why some tentacles are bubbly like a ricordea and others are feathery like a fern. The bubbly tentacles are a very beautiful rose colour while the feathery bits ae a sage green.
Anybody want to hazard a guess?

I soooo can't help ya there. There is something local that they often refer to as mini nems. Lemme find a picture from my local club to see if it looks anything like it.

Picture taken by Tri from Southern California Nano Reef Society. I don't see the "branches" though. On the site they were also calling them mini carpet nems but they stay small.

The bubbles look right but the branches don't - it's possibly still stressed from shipping a couple of days ago though.

Here is a rock flower anemone:(Epicystis crucifer)

Here is a mini carpet anemone:(Stichodactyla tapetum )

This picture of yours:

Looks more like a hairy mushroom to me: (Rhodactis indosinensis)

It does look mushroom-like to me as well, except that the foot is SO anemone-like (picture a carpet anemone but tiny) and the thing is SO sticky, I've never had a mush try to eat my hand like that!

Yup there sure is.
How about this one.

Keri Rhodactis and mushrooms in general are close relatives of anemone. They are sticky and they are fish eaters.

The branchy bits are certainly right. Would it move like an anemone tho? Mine moves around in his tupperware, definately purposeful movement, not like when I've had shrooms detatch and relocate. I'd be ok if it was a mushroom, it's actually quite beautiful, the pics don't do it justice.
I've taken a couple more pics with the bridal veil off, I will post them later

Its hard to tell without a clear picture

I agree that it looks simmilar to those - especially the knubbel, but i can't find any more info on them. You know, I remember seeing an Anemone ID book (Like the Peterson's field guide to birds) in the book store and saying to myself "Who would really spend $50 on a book about anemones?!" Uhhh....well, if I can find it again it will be me!!! lol

Oh yeah
with the clearer pictures it definitely looks like a Heterodactyla hemprichi.
That anemone is such a beauty. Keep us updated
