Trade Maroon for Perculas?

I have a maroon clown that I've owned for about 5 months. It's doing great, very healthy (knock on wood).
In time I have come to like the perculas better, because they have brighter colors (the orange and white) compared to the somewhat dark color of the maroon (deep red, almost towards black).
I think the perculas make the tank look nicer.
So my question is should I get rid of the maroon and get a pair of perculas (m and f), or can I keep the maroon and add one percula w/ it?
I'm kind of hesitant to switch because the maroon is doing great and what if I take that back and get a percula that gets ich or something.

I think you would have to get rid of the maroon. Maroons are the most aggressive of clownfish; it would probably attack the perculas.

I also agree that you should keep one or the other. You can often get different species of clownfish together as juveniles. However, when they mature, they will tend to fight (except with long, large tank (>100 gal)).
As long as you quarantine, you should not have to worry about introducing a disease into your tank. Brooklynella is probably at least as common as ich in these species.
I started out with a sebae clown. It was very shy and would hide most of the time. I bought two ocellaris clowns from this site and (after their quarantine period) put the sebae into my QT as a permanent resident. The ocellaris are much more interactive and are always out in the open. They have really brightened up my tank.
