Transforming zoanthids

Cool watching these change. I fragged this colony about a month or so ago and now have 3 different looking placed in different lighting and flow.
This group has remained unchanged

This group has transformed thus

and this group has changed into an awesome looking zoanthid. I love the dark pink center and the thick, short and wiry skirt that has become gray

thats amazing... is there any science behind making them change or is it just some random act based on there new environment?

lighting mostly
i had some PPE's that grew a sweet white edge and white specs
i will have to post a pic on this thread

those that i got from you mike came out to be like those you have pictured last...more orange/ peach lookin...those are awesome shots

One thing to watch for with PEs is that too much light can cause them to expell xoothanthellae giving the appearance of white dots on the face. If this happens move them to less light and they will regain the color. White specks may look good but not healthy.
Not saying this is what has happened to yours as you haven't posted a pic, this info for others unknowing of this result to too intense lighting.
