i just bought a small mushroom rock with about 20 pieces on it form a LFS and wondering if you could pluck them up and move them around the tank to desired location.

You can take a sharpe knife and cut them off the rock they are on. Then just place them in a low flow area of your tank for a week or two that way they will start to attach the sand or crushed coral on the bottom of your tank. When they get a fair amount of substrate sttached to them just super glue them where you want them to grow!! make sence??

no man, mushrums are so easy to keep, you can cut them it to peaces and they will grow all new mushrums from the peaces.

I`ve used Super Glue Gel on my shrooms, but have noticed that blue leg hermits LOVE super glue. They eat the glue, and the shrooms go floatin everywhere...dangcrabs!! They have done this EVERY time I`ve tried it. Had to resort to using a toothpick to hold shroom in place.

Sheree,
You can minimize the crabs picking at the super glue by wrapping the rock with netting similar to what is used to make dip nets. I got this from www.garf.org. You keep the netting on until the mushrooms attach to the rock on thier own. You use rubber bands to secure the netting.
