Transporting an anemone

My husband is out of town and has been looking at an anemone for a few days.He is thinking of puchasing it and bringing it back. The flight home will be about 6 hrs. If he is able to bring the anemone as a carry on or some other way how should he pack it with a heating pad, and in very little water like the shipping process of some online stores?

Check with the airlines regarding carring on live animals in sealed packages before anything. They may not like that and hate to see it stuck in airport security for 24 hours.
I would not put it through the x-ray scanner either so even more reason to check with security.
It should be fine otherwise. Just don't have the heat pad directly on the bag, wrap it in a washcloth or rag.

Your more than likely not going to be able to carry it on a plane. Even if your told you can by the airline staff, their written rules probably prohibit it.
