tree coral question

My tree coral was closed up for a couple of days and it looked like it was going to die. It was tightly closed up and it looked like it was using the bathroom. Then finally last night and today it's opened back up like nothing happened. Any ideas on what could cause it to do this. Also i took my anemonie out that might have stung it when i was getting the anemonie out, do tyou think that would cause it??

What was the scientific name of the tree coral? Or, if unknown, what's the genus or family?

I'm not sure exactly the guy at the lfs didn't exactly know either. I'll try and look around to see if i can find it.

I can't really find anything like it maybe it is paralemnalia sp. It looks sort of like my colt but with smaller polyps and just a single base. The color is a purplish brown.
