Tree coral

I bought a tree coral last month and now it's growing and branching too fast. Can I trim its branch and how to trim it?

i have a green tree coral that i take a pair of scissors and cut often and frag away. just about any softy coral you can cut with scissors and it will be fine. i cut my leathers and tree alot and sell the frags. you can also take a razor and score the top of mushrooms to make them split more. i toke 1 mushroom and scored it left to right and top to bottom and 2 weeks later had 4 mushrooms. good luck to you
