Trey - More info on my Maroon Clown

I've been watching the fish closely and noticed a couple of things. One of the dark spots has what looks like a piece of thread dangling from it... That's above his fin. Right behind his fin is another dark spot that seems to be caused by a raised line on his skin that looks like it's moving under his skin (the dark spot moves with it. It was hard to tell because he's little and moving around alot...

I wish I had a digital camera..... gotta buy one soon.
The threads are white or clear.. almost looks like it may have been pulled off his skin or slime... the gold band behind that spot has a thin horizontal break through it..
It could be a trick of the light, but the "bump" under his skin went from almost horizontal to vertical (may be cause by his movement). I'd guess that the line is about a quarter inch long and the dark spot surrounds it.. it seemed to move kinda fast but it may have been as he moved...

sorry, way overestimated the size of the bump/line under his skin... more like 1/16 of an inch..... and i'm pretty sure it's moving around... i think what ever it is is causing the skin to look different (wherever it goes the skin is darker)
The thread from one angle almost looked maroon.. but he won't hold still... LOL

Only one is like a thread dangling... the other looks like a hard bump under his skin... one minute it was close to his middle stripe, the next it wasn't

The hard bump is about the length of some of the copepods i've seen in my tank....

pulled him out... definetly a bump under his skin... 2 of them...

Jesus... the fish probably has a better chance if i dont... i'll kill him for sure... should I get some kind of fish to eat the copepods in my tank? (to avoid this in the future) I've got a bunch.. what would be a good one to get?

ok, maybe i'll put one in for awhile and then take him back... Thanks again for all your help! My wife is asleep (and wouldn't be much help anyway) so I'm going to attempt what you've suggested tomorrow... I think I'll bag him up and take him to the one decent lfs here and see if the owner will help me... i went to him today to buy a fish, told him about the patch and he told me not to buy a fish until i cleared it up... until i talked to him i thought it was a bruise or something... he's pretty honest... I'll post here what happens..

Woke up this morning and turned on the light for the tank and there were a ton of little worm like things swimming around... looked like the spun as they were swimming... sort of white to clearish in color, about a 1/4 inch long... Never noticed them before... could they be the culprit??

Had to go into work this morning... He was hiding under a rock and I couldn't get a good look at him... wonder if he is still alive...
