i will be doing that!! very costly crash!!!
Get some test kits (this should be your first freebie, since the LFS does not know how to test the water) first thing so you can see what your levels are. Also, I would add fish slower next time. I would add fish every two to three weeks. Not three in two weeks. Each fish you add...adds bioload to your tank. Your bacteria needs time to build up to sustain each new addition. How long did your tank cycle before you added fish? It seems this LFS is just trying to make a quick buck off of you rather than making sure your tank is set up correctly.

If the triggers were fine before you added the lion, I'm guessing it was something in that bag of water you dumped in. Shrooms are easy, and come in many different colors

Wow, thats bad news. Definetely try and get refunds and free items for your wasted time, money and effort.
Anyways you will probably need to decide before if you want an aggresive or peaceful tank.
You had an agressive on before with the lkionfish and triggers. If you want to do this again make 100% sure the inhabitants are compatible (by asking on here, don't ever go to that LFS again, they screwed you).
If you want peaceful there are tons of options.
BTW is a tang too big for an 84? I always forget what the minimum for them is.

That is BS...they are just trying to get out of the situation. I personally have a tank with fish in it at 1.026, because of my inverts. Did you buy test kits? My guess is ammonia was the problem. Bottom line, they gave you bad advice...at times my salt has been up to 1.028 because of evaporation, and I have had it as low as 1.009 for hyposalinity. Salinity is not the issue...tell him to try another lie.

You are in Piqua? I am in Troy..what LFS did you go to?...There is a great shop in dayton called Gerber saltwater warehouse. These guys know what they are doing. I go to jack's in Sidney, but I have never had to ask anyone anything but to grab me a fish
. Aquariums etc. in Centerville is good. There is a jack's in Huber Heights. These are all the ones I go to..and in order...Gerber, Aquariums etc., Jack's sidney, Jack's huber. Aquariums etc is hit or miss on their advice depending on who is working, but they will at least tell you "they don't know" if they don't know something. All in all I would ask here before taking any LFS advice...you have to remember they are sales driven.

also what do i use to get rid of the green hariy algee??
Hair algae is generally caused by excess nutrients in the water. Cutting back on feeding and keeping a good water changing schedule will help rid of it. I personally got rid of it with turbo snails, but others here have said there turbo's did nothing for it
.

Huh, did not even know there was one there. There is a new manager in the Jack's store up in sidney named Rich...if you need something close he can take care of you. Good guy and he knows what he is talking about...otherwise try to make the trek to dayton.

Make sure your water is OK before you add anything...

Wow my fish are at about 1.027 right now. I am trying to take it down, but it sure isn't killing them.
I would definetely go in and ask for a refund, because not only did they test your water wrong, they sold you incompatible fish.
