i really think it all depends on the fish. the characteristics are usually a general assumption, but i bet some can pull it off with coral

i know what you mean. everyone that warned me about them never even had one. i know they are aggressive but not as aggressive as everyone says they are. it is a a general assumption most people have on these fish. because of books and word of mouth. i kept one in a 20g and watched his aggression closely he never even touched a damsel that was already in the tank. at my other post an undulate was in a tank with coral. this is just my two pennies

I think a lot of people hear that they are aggressive and steer clear of them. My lfs guy who is fantastic refused to sell me one because of its aggression. He has one in his tank that he keeps--it's his and he won't sell it because of what it can (and I guess has done) do. I appreciate that very much. Just think if he would have sold it to me KNOWING that it would eat everyone in my tank. That's a good guy!

I am on my 2nd clown trigger and he is as happy as a lark and dose not bother with my coral. He will give it a glance over every now and then but only on a very rare occasion will he do this.
