Has anybody ever heard of him. I got two of them today. Cool looking little fish. Looks like a false perc. only WAY smaller. They're almost an inch long.

Nope, no where close. They are extremely small clowns with a normal Perc coloration. In my opinion they are more orange. I'll try to snap a pic.

Onyx variant A. percula are fairly common, nothing special, there's CB available as well. They are just a color variant of A. percula that have black in between all bars and if lucky the dorsal fin as well. Airforce, at an 1", I would be surprised if you could tell that they are the onyx variant or not. I woyuld think they are too small yet.
reefkpr, yours are black variant A. ocellaris, again fairly common as CB.

I have two I bought from a breeder . The parents of mine are about completely black with some orange . They would make a good fish mascot for Harley Davidson .
This is what the parents look like . Mine are only a few months old though.

I have two I bought from a breeder . The parents of mine are about completely black with some orange . They would make a good fish mascot for Harley Davidson .

Ok, I've heard that at night the clowns go up to like a corner and lay on their sides and "sleep" but, one of mine is doing that right now. Water is fine although my SG is about 1.022. temp is 79.

I paid $30 each then . I talked to him a month ago and he had a few bigger ones left and think they were around $40-$50 . I do know he has the next few batches already sold . I`ll have to get a hold of him to see if I can give out his email . I don`t think he sells much to the public as he breeds them in his townhouse .

I just sent him a email to see what he has and mention about you wanting some Onyx Clowns . I usually hear from him within a few days .

That is an incredibly beautiful fish. I have two now, so I am maxed. Where was this thread a month ago. I love mine though, even if they are common.
