Nice avatar Dawman. You should really ask people before you "Borrow their pictures". Usually most people will say "go right ahead" if you ask them first, but if you dont ask, it will sometimes make them a bit angry. Especially if you crop out their watermark.

Do you have any pics of your "onyx" clowns". I havent seen any of Matts get black yet and I am wondering how long it will take them to do so. If they are onyx, you could use them in your avatar

I see where the confusion entered. I don't have black onyx clowns, I have ocellaris clowns. I meant the o. clowns are common, not the black onyx.

I don`t have any pics yet , cam broke and need to buy a new one . If I remember right mine are only five months old and don`t have any black or complete stripes yet . Sorry about using your picture ,it`s the only pic I found of an Onyx . Not only did I try to ask about that , I wanted to drive up and see what you have ,but nobody answered the phone the two times I called . So I went and gave my $ to the only other clownfish breeder I could find .

Maybe Matt will let you borrow a pic of his clowns. I would prefer that you didnt use my picture please.
At 5 months, yours should be nearly black, maybe you could get a shot of those for your avatar.

This is what the parents look like . Mine are only a few months old though.

Matt Pederson is a great guy and very good at breeding not only clowns but other fish as well. He is more than willing to share information. He has an awesome pair of clowns, but the picture posted above is not his clowns, and they dont quite look like that. Matt's pair are a wild caught pair (maybe the nicest I have seen), and the clown that Dawman stole a picture of , is an offspring of a clown that was bred by a geneticist (Bill Addison) at a hatchery in Puerto Rico called sea-quest. The genes that produce the deep black coloration is a recessive gene in the clowns that came from Bill Addison.

When I talked to him , all what he has is sold or spoken for . Also the last time I asked he is not set up to ship fish . So for anyone that is not close to the Chicago area you might want to look elsewhere .

Did I say that pic was his clowns ? No , I did not ! But his look similar like I mentioned. Why would I post a pic saying they are someone elses clowns when it has your name on it ?

Stole ??????? Copying and pasting an image on the net is not stealing . Web sites that don`t want anything copied use a copyright guard preventing such .
Rod , I was going to make another attempt of getting a hold of you to come up and get some from you . But I`m glad I didn`t and sure won`t. I`d rather not get any or give my $ to someone else . Like you said "they are actually more popular here in IL" .
