My florida condi anemone keeps moving around the tank and today it crossed paths with my trumpet coral and now it had three heads that are shrunk and look like crap and two heads with "burn" holes in them. Will these recover or is this going to die. As for the florida I got ticked off and put him in my QT tank until someone makes me believe that all will be well. My tank has pink tips but they just sit in one place and behave themselves the condi is constantly on the move, since day one. PLEASE HELP

It depends on how bad it is. If its too bad, they might not make it. just let it heal and hopefully everything will be ok.

This is why I don't recommend Condis. It should be illegal to sell those things.

I got one for 9 bucks an dall it did was kill expensive stuff in my tank.

The popular misconception is, that anemones are reef safe. This is a classic example as to why that statment is false. Anemones are not reef safe and keeping one in a reef tank is a gamble no matter what the species. Unfortunatly there is nothing you can do preventitivly. Just hope it finds a place away from your corals.

The only one I would ever and do keep is a tube anenome so I
can decide where he resides.

I had a florida condi that was constantly moving around, would not stay put. I was always taught that anemones moved around when they were unhappy and were trying to find a place where they would be happy. Condi's seem to be the exception to this rule. I have owned a number of them in other tanks at different times in my life and they never sit still.
My most recent experience with one killed a frogspawn. I was so PISSED. I took him out immediately and returned him to the LFS. You may be lucky if it was just a glancing blow, but mine sat on top of my frogspawn all night.
The only anemone I would put in a reef would be a carpet or a flower, and even then, only if I had a hosting clown, because they tend to stay put more if they have a hosting clown to bring them food.
