bh100 is just a knock off, desing close to cpr. The cpr does work you have to let it break in though.
The design of the skimmer will effect the time for break in. Some work instant some take while. Most think if its doesnt skim instantly it isnt any good. Octopus is knock off co like odyssea or jebo.

Have you ever used a cpr next to a octo? CPR is junk compaired to a octo.

Junk......well I wont argue with you. Have you tried it with the proper pump (maxijet pin wheel). So much foam you have to mod the cup to sit high enough. That is using a mj 900 even. Cant give you link but type this in google its the ONLY result.
cpr maxijet pinwheel propack
maybe google link ok?

BTW, which octo as diff models.

Maybe not junk if you mod it. But octo is def a better overall design. It looks close the the CPR but its nothing like it. It works great right out of the box. No mods needed. And I have never heard of a octo leaking but have heard alot of bad stories with the CPR.

Following that link, they refer to snaking airline through it with a wooden air stone on the end. Does anyone understand what the opposite end of the airline is hooked to?

I would have to say modifying these skimmers has improved there performance but I still run in to common problems like overflow and constant adjusting. but octo I will buy soon

with the constant adjusting you have to do on the coralife sometimes you will get really dry gunk and sometimes you will have the setting for the dry gunk and you look back and its bubbling out of the top collection cup :( so lame!!!
